Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Omar Academy website, student portal, online classes, educational materials, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, enrolling a student, purchasing a plan, or using the Services, the account holder agrees to these Terms.

2.1 Who May Use Omar Academy

Omar Academy is designed to provide online educational services for children and students, including K–12 learners. A parent or legal guardian must create, authorize, or manage enrollment for a minor when required by law or by Omar Academy policy. The parent or guardian is responsible for the accuracy of enrollment information and for supervising the minor’s use of the Services as appropriate for the child’s age.

2.2 Educational Services

Omar Academy offers structured online instruction in areas such as Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Programs may include live classes, assignments, learning plans, progress tracking, parent updates, digital resources, assessments, and other educational features. Specific class formats, schedules, instructors, and included features may vary by program or enrollment plan.

Omar Academy is a supplemental educational service and does not represent itself as an accredited K–12 school, a substitute for compulsory schooling, or a provider of government-recognized academic credit unless a particular program is expressly identified in writing as providing such recognition.

2.3 Accounts and Parent Responsibility

  • Account information must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Login credentials should not be shared outside the household or with unauthorized persons.
  • A parent or guardian should manage communications, billing, and account settings for minors when appropriate.
  • Parents and students are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, microphone, and other technology reasonably needed for online classes.
  • Parents should notify Omar Academy promptly if they believe an account has been accessed without permission.

2.4 Scheduling, Attendance, and Class Changes

Class times and availability depend on the student’s plan, instructor availability, and the schedule selected during enrollment. Students should join classes on time and be prepared to participate. If a class needs to be rescheduled, the parent or guardian should contact Omar Academy as early as possible. Eligibility for a make-up class, rescheduling, credit, or other accommodation may depend on the amount of notice provided, instructor availability, the student’s plan, and the circumstances of the missed class.

If Omar Academy must cancel or materially change a scheduled class, Omar Academy will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time, class credit, or other appropriate solution.

2.5 Payments and Renewals

Prices, billing frequency, included classes, and any recurring subscription terms will be shown during enrollment or checkout. By submitting payment information, the account holder authorizes the applicable charges described at checkout. Recurring plans may renew automatically until cancelled, where disclosed at enrollment.

Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider. Omar Academy does not need or intend to store complete payment-card details when the payment provider processes those details directly.

2.6 Cancellation and Refunds

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If Omar Academy isn't the right fit for your child, simply contact us within 7 days of your child's first class and we'll refund your payment.

A parent or account holder may request cancellation by using any available account-management tools or by emailing support@omaracademy.com. Cancellation generally stops future recurring charges after the effective cancellation date. Charges already paid are not automatically refundable unless the applicable enrollment terms, a written Omar Academy offer, or applicable law provides otherwise. Omar Academy may review refund or credit requests individually, including service disruptions or other exceptional circumstances.

2.7 Student Conduct and Acceptable Use

Students, parents, guardians, and other users must interact respectfully with instructors, staff, and other learners. Harassment, threats, bullying, discrimination, inappropriate content, impersonation, intentional class disruption, attempts to gain unauthorized system access, or misuse of another person’s information are prohibited. Omar Academy may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect students, staff, the learning environment, or the Services.

2.8 Class Recordings and Screenshots

Users may not record, photograph, screen-capture, publish, or redistribute a class, instructor, student, or private learning material without permission. If Omar Academy records a session for safety, quality, training, or educational purposes, Omar Academy will provide notice and obtain consent when required by applicable law or policy.

2.9 Intellectual Property

Omar Academy course materials, lesson plans, videos, worksheets, graphics, written content, branding, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Enrollment grants a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use provided materials for the enrolled student’s educational use. Materials may not be copied, sold, publicly uploaded, republished, or commercially distributed without written permission.

2.10 Educational Results

Omar Academy is committed to structured teaching and progress support, but individual results vary based on attendance, effort, practice, starting level, learning needs, and other factors. Omar Academy does not guarantee a particular score, memorization level, fluency level, academic result, or completion date.

2.11 Service Availability and Changes

Omar Academy may improve, update, replace, or discontinue features, curriculum elements, instructors, scheduling options, or portions of the Services. Reasonable notice will be provided when a material change affects an active paid plan whenever practicable.

2.12 Governing Law

To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections that apply to a user based on the user’s location remain unaffected.

2.13 Changes to These Terms

Omar Academy may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date should be revised when material changes are published. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@omaracademy.com.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Omar Academy may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information through its website, student portal, enrollment process, online classes, and related communications. Because Omar Academy serves children, parents, and guardians, children’s privacy is treated as a separate and important part of this policy.

3.1 Information We May Collect

  • Parent or guardian information, such as name, email address, billing information, account credentials, and communications with support.
  • Student information, such as name, age or age range, grade level, learning goals, current level, class placement, attendance, assignments, assessments, and progress notes.
  • Technical information, such as device type, browser, login activity, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, cookies, and basic site-usage information where enabled.
  • Class and learning information, such as messages, submitted work, teacher feedback, and session records that are reasonably necessary to provide the educational service.
  • Payment transaction information received from a payment processor, such as confirmation of payment, amount, date, status, or a limited card identifier. Complete payment-card details should be processed by the payment provider rather than stored directly by Omar Academy.
  • Other information a parent or guardian chooses to provide to personalize the student’s learning experience.

3.2 How We Use Information

  • Create and manage parent and student accounts.
  • Enroll students, schedule classes, and provide instruction.
  • Build or adjust learning plans and track progress.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians about classes, progress, billing, service updates, and support requests.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions.
  • Maintain the security, reliability, and functionality of the website and student portal.
  • Improve curriculum, teaching quality, and the overall learning experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the safety and rights of students, families, instructors, staff, and Omar Academy.

3.3 Information About Children

Omar Academy may serve children under age 13. Where the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) or another applicable law requires parental authorization, Omar Academy will provide the required notice and obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information directly from a child. Omar Academy should collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and support the educational service.

Omar Academy does not sell children’s personal information and should not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising. If a future feature would involve a materially different use or disclosure of a child’s information, Omar Academy should obtain any new or separate consent required by law before enabling that use.

3.4 How Information May Be Shared

Omar Academy may share personal information only as reasonably necessary for legitimate educational and business operations, including with:

  • Instructors and authorized staff who need information to teach, support, schedule, or communicate about the student.
  • Service providers that support website hosting, student-portal functionality, video conferencing, email, cloud storage, payment processing, analytics, security, or customer support.
  • Professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety, prevent fraud, or enforce legal rights.
  • A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Service providers should receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and should be required to protect that information appropriately.

3.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website or portal may use essential cookies or similar technologies for login, security, settings, performance, and basic analytics. Omar Academy should avoid unnecessary tracking on child-directed areas and should configure analytics, advertising, and third-party tools in a manner consistent with applicable children’s privacy requirements.

3.6 Data Retention

Omar Academy retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Services, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or protect safety and security. Information should not be retained indefinitely without a legitimate purpose. When information is no longer reasonably needed, Omar Academy should delete or de-identify it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational needs.

3.7 Security

Omar Academy uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No website, online platform, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so parents should also protect account passwords and devices used to access the Services.

3.8 Parent and User Choices

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the request, a parent, guardian, or account holder may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information associated with an account. Parents may also request that Omar Academy stop future collection or use of a child’s personal information when applicable. Omar Academy may need to verify the requester’s identity and authority before fulfilling a privacy request.

Privacy requests may be sent to support@omaracademy.com.

3.9 Communications

Omar Academy may send transactional or service-related emails about enrollment, schedules, progress, billing, security, policy updates, and support. Marketing messages, if used, should include any unsubscribe mechanism required by applicable law. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary service or account messages.

3.10 Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may link to or rely on third-party platforms. Those services may have their own privacy practices. Omar Academy should review third-party tools used in child-directed portions of the service and limit integrations that collect unnecessary information from children.

3.11 Updates to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Omar Academy’s services, technology, or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date should be revised when changes are published. Where required, Omar Academy will provide additional notice or seek additional consent before materially changing how children’s personal information is used or disclosed.

Children’s Privacy & Parent/Guardian Consent

Omar Academy is built for families and may provide online learning to children of different ages. Parents and guardians play a central role in enrollment, account management, privacy choices, and communication with Omar Academy.

4.1 Parent or Guardian Role

  • A parent or legal guardian should create or authorize a minor student’s enrollment where required.
  • The parent or guardian should provide accurate information about the student that is reasonably necessary for placement, scheduling, and instruction.
  • The parent or guardian is responsible for deciding whether the student may use the website, portal, and online-class tools.
  • For younger students, Omar Academy recommends that a parent or responsible adult remain reasonably available during online sessions.

4.2 Children Under 13

If Omar Academy collects personal information online directly from a child under 13 in a situation covered by COPPA, Omar Academy will provide the parent or guardian with notice of its information practices and obtain verifiable parental consent before the collection, use, or disclosure of that information, unless a legal exception applies.

4.3 Data Minimization

Omar Academy should not require a child to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the educational activity. Information requested from a student should be limited to what supports teaching, learning, safety, account access, or another legitimate service purpose.

4.4 Parent Rights

Subject to applicable law and verification, a parent or legal guardian may request to:

  • Review personal information collected from the child.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of the child’s personal information where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent for future collection, use, or disclosure where applicable.
  • Ask Omar Academy to stop collecting additional personal information from the child, recognizing that certain information may be necessary to continue providing some Services.

Requests should be sent to support@omaracademy.com. Omar Academy may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s identity and relationship to the child before responding.

4.5 No Sale or Targeted Advertising Using Children’s Data

Omar Academy does not sell children’s personal information. Child information should not be used to build advertising profiles or for targeted advertising. Any future third-party feature that would materially change how children’s information is disclosed or used must be reviewed before launch and must use any additional parental consent required by law.

4.6 Retention and Deletion

Children’s personal information should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the educational or operational purpose for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by law. Omar Academy should maintain a reasonable process for deleting or de-identifying information that is no longer needed.

4.7 Safe Communications With Minors

Omar Academy communications with minor students should occur through approved educational channels and should remain professional and related to learning. Where reasonably practicable, parents or guardians should have visibility into important scheduling, progress, and account communications. Instructors and students should not exchange private off-platform contact information for unrelated personal communication.

4.8 Reporting a Concern

A parent or guardian who has a privacy, safety, conduct, or communication concern should email support@omaracademy.com with enough information for Omar Academy to review the issue. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in the email.

Payments, Subscriptions, Cancellations & Class Changes

The exact plan selected at checkout controls when it contains more specific terms.

5.1 Pricing and Plan Details

Current pricing, billing frequency, included services, and any class limits will be displayed before purchase. Promotional pricing may be temporary and may be subject to stated eligibility or expiration terms.

5.2 Recurring Billing

If a plan is described as recurring, the account holder authorizes Omar Academy or its payment provider to charge the selected payment method at the disclosed billing interval until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise ends.

5.3 Cancelling a Subscription

To cancel future renewals, use any available account-cancellation feature or email support@omaracademy.com. Parents should submit cancellation requests before the next renewal date. Omar Academy may verify account ownership before processing a request.

5.4 Refund Requests

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If Omar Academy isn't the right fit for your child, simply contact us within 7 days of your child's first class and we'll refund your payment.

Payments are not automatically refundable simply because a student chooses not to attend or stops using the service. However, Omar Academy may consider refund, credit, or make-up requests based on the applicable plan terms, service problems, duplicate charges, billing errors, emergencies, or other exceptional circumstances. Nothing in this policy limits refund rights that cannot legally be waived.

5.5 Missed Classes and Rescheduling

Students should attend scheduled classes on time. If a student cannot attend, the parent or guardian should notify Omar Academy as early as possible. A make-up class or rescheduled class is not guaranteed and depends on notice, instructor availability, the student’s plan, and the circumstances. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may be treated as used class time where the applicable plan or enrollment notice states so.

5.6 Instructor or Omar Academy Cancellations

If an instructor or Omar Academy must cancel a class, Omar Academy will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement session, rescheduled time, class credit, substitute instructor, or another appropriate solution based on the circumstances.

5.7 Price or Plan Changes

Omar Academy may change future pricing, plan structure, or included features. Material changes affecting an existing recurring plan should be communicated before they take effect when reasonably practicable and as required by law.

5.8 Billing Support

For billing questions, cancellation requests, or suspected duplicate charges, email support@omaracademy.com and include the account holder’s name and enough transaction information to identify the charge. Do not email full card numbers.

Student Conduct, Online Safety & Communications

Omar Academy aims to maintain a respectful, focused, age-appropriate online learning environment. The following expectations apply to students, parents, guardians, instructors, and anyone participating in Omar Academy classes or communications.

6.1 Respectful Conduct

  • Speak and behave respectfully toward instructors, students, parents, and staff.
  • Do not bully, harass, threaten, insult, discriminate against, or intentionally embarrass another participant.
  • Do not share obscene, sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content.
  • Do not intentionally disrupt class, misuse chat features, impersonate others, or interfere with the learning platform.

6.2 Privacy During Online Classes

  • Join from a reasonably appropriate and safe environment.
  • Avoid showing private documents, addresses, financial information, or unrelated personal information on camera or through screen sharing.
  • Do not record or distribute another student or instructor without permission.
  • Use only the links and meeting credentials provided for the enrolled student; do not publicly post private class links.

6.3 Parent Visibility and Communication

Omar Academy may communicate with parents or guardians regarding attendance, progress, learning goals, assignments, scheduling, billing, conduct, or safety. For minor students, important administrative communications should generally be directed to the parent or guardian account holder.

6.4 Instructor-Student Boundaries

Instructor communication with minor students should remain professional, educational, and connected to Omar Academy services. Instructors and students should not use Omar Academy to initiate unrelated private relationships, exchange inappropriate personal content, or move routine communication to private channels in a way that bypasses parent or Academy visibility.

6.5 Safety Concerns

If a parent or student experiences inappropriate conduct, a privacy concern, or another safety issue, contact support@omaracademy.com. Omar Academy may review relevant account, class, or communication records consistent with applicable law and policy to investigate and respond to concerns.

6.6 Enforcement

Omar Academy may warn a participant, involve a parent or guardian, remove a participant from a class, restrict communication, suspend access, change an instructor, or terminate service when reasonably necessary to maintain safety, protect others, or enforce these policies. The response should be proportionate to the circumstances.
